We all feel the stress of these times

We hear the news, we grieve the losses

We witness what is going on around us

We are fed fear and hate and anxiety

As our steady diet, sapping the joy from life.

 

But, we can still choose. 

We can seek out the beauty and joys of life

And feast instead on the generosity of the world.

We can turn our attention away from the chaos

And soak in the things that fill our soul

With the golden healing honey of 

A world filled with so much good,

And beauty, and love, that our hearts fill to  

Overflowing and we can share it with others.

 

When we stop to think about it

Our days are full with the generosity of life.

Our task is to pay attention, to notice.

To rejoice and to celebrate

To claim them as the gifts they are.

 

To seek out and welcome in joy and happiness

As healing medicine for ourselves and the world.

 

 

I Invite you on a journey of paint and prayer

On an exploration of the joys that live in our everyday lives.

Together, we’ll notice them. Name them. Let them bloom.

We’ll pause and receive their beauty, 

allowing each moment of joy to root itself in our hearts.

Then, through the liquid wonder of paint, 

we will create talisman paintings, visual prayers,

to honor and carry that joy forward.
