The modern birthchart is powerful – but it is incomplete. 

When the asteroid goddesses were discovered in the 19th century, a lost dimension of the divine feminine entered astrology, expanding the symbolic language of the chart beyond the narrow feminine archetypes of mother and lover. Yet in many contemporary practices, these cosmic bodies are still treated as option and secondary rather than essential components of the astrological mandala. In truth, the asteroids open the feminine into a multidimensional field of nourishment, strategy, devotion, sovereignty, and embodied intelligence – restoring depth, complexity, and balance to chart interpretation. 

In this 2.5 hour beginner-to-intermediate workshop, we’ll draw primarily from the work of astrologer Demetra Georgie to explore what the asteroids are astronomically and historically, the mythic and psychological dimensions of each archetype, why they matter in modern chart interpretation, and how to begin working with them in practice. 

Rather than memorizing sign-by-sign meanings, this workshop focuses on practical integration.

Through hands-on exploration of your own chart and group discussion, you’ll also begin developing discernment around additional asteroids – both the mythological and name-based – so that your practice expands with coherence rather than overwhelm.

This workshop is best suited for students with a basic understanding of planets, signs, houses and aspects and who are ready to restore a fuller feminine cosmology to their astrology work.
