In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll create three unique kitchen-crafted items designed to bring warmth, intention, and creativity into your home. Each piece is made by you, for you, and becomes a meaningful part of your everyday cooking and living space.
We begin by crafting salt dough TALISMAN CHARMS—hand-shaped kitchen tokens infused with herbs, food coloring and essential oils. Using stamps, textures, and personal designs, you’ll create pieces that can be hung in your kitchen as a reminder of your intentions, whether for abundance, creativity, wisdom, or comfort. Once cured, they become lasting decorative pieces filled with meaning and character. Note: feel free to bring items to press shapes into your dough.
Next, we’ll create a custom infused FINISHING SALT. You’ll roast aromatic herbs and blend them with flake salt to build your own signature seasoning. This blend becomes both a flavorful kitchen staple and a beautiful way to add depth and intention to your cooking.
Finally, we’ll make a small-batch SEASONAL JAM using an abundant apothecary-style selection of fruits, herbs, and flavor additions. You’ll leave with a jar of jam you created yourself—unique, flavorful, and reflective of your own taste and creativity.
This is a welcoming, creative kitchen workshop designed to reconnect you with simple, meaningful food-making traditions. Come cook, create, and leave with handcrafted pieces that bring a little extra warmth and inspiration to your kitchen.
Your Host
Lyndsey Turner
I’m a lifelong maker and creator rooted in the homestead prairie traditions I was raised with—where canning, quilting, and seasonal living were simply part of daily life. These foundations taught me the beauty of tending a home with intention, and over the years I’ve been honored with state-level awards for my canning and baking, deepening my love for homespun craft and kitchen alchemy.
I’m grateful to share these traditions and invite others to explore the comforting, creative magic found in the everyday rhythms of home.
