Designing Mandalas: Kaleidoscope

About this experience

Guided meditation and drawing instruction all in one! A simple, impactful and personal mandala creation experience. Working on White Paper. 

 We will do guided meditation to define what symbols and colors you will incorporate into your mandala. The word 'mandala' in sanskrit means sacred circle. Kaleidoscopes, through the use of mirrors, repeats a wedge motif to create a circle of pattern. 

We will design our own wedge motifs, as simple or complex as you feel comfortable with, to be repeated.

No experience necessary! 

I am going to help you create simple designs, show you simple artist tricks for creating and repeating patterns, discuss meaning and use of color (both energetically and artistically), how to create value changes; all during the process of channeling energy into our mandalas!

 Mandalas are a wonderful, magical tool for healing and ritual focus. They can be created for ourselves or for others. If you're taking Crystal Gridding 2 from Joshua Frederick, they will show you how to incorporate your mandala into gridding too!

 I am so excited to be able to offer this class, I hope you will find the courage to allow yourself to create!

Class Materials:

In the interest of making the price of this class more accessible, there are two price options.

This class will give you the method to design and create mandalas but probably won't be enough time to finish coloring. I will have pencils to share but once you go home you may not have the same colors to continue your peice.

Option 1: Designing $50

I will have pencils to share but you are welcome to bring your own colored pencils.

Looking for cheap but decent color? Crayola is suprisingly smooth and vibrant. A simple basic set will do.

Want artist quality? I love Prismacolor. They are vibrant, artist quality pencils that blend beautifully. 

Option 2: Designing plus Materials $75

I will provide you with your own set of basic colors in prismacolors and a few other goodies for you to keep.
