Ancestors of blood, of love, of kindred spirit
They who have lived full lives,
of challenge and triumph, grief and Joy,
Who swim in our blood and weave love
Into the strands of our DNA.
They know what it is to walk on the Earth,
To rise with the sun and sleep with the moon,
To grow & change & persist & resist & celebrate.
The Angels & Guides Know our names
Know our private and public faces and the prayers
we whisper when we are alone in the dark.
They cheered our first breath
And offer infinite love and endless patience.
They whisper advice, send signals and signs
And pray, always, for our best and highest good.
I Invite you on a journey of paint and prayer
To dream of, imagine, and even perhaps to meet
The Ancestors, Angels & Guides who walk with us every day, who have our backs, and surround our lives with belonging and infinite, compassionate love
